Dreamy Wedding in Borgo Stomennano of Charlotte & Rory

A Secret Garden Kind of Day

There are weddings that stay with you for days. Maybe it’s the way the light filtered through the trees, or how the bride looked at the groom just before walking down the aisle. Charlotte and Rory’s wedding at Borgo Stomennano felt like that — like a soft memory you don’t want to let go of.

Everything happened in one place. One magical place, actually. This historic borgo tucked away in the Tuscan hills became their little world for a day. And what a day it was.

Borgo Stomennano is a one-of-a-kind gem nestled in the rolling hills of Tuscany, just a short drive from Siena. Surrounded by centuries-old olive groves, vineyards, and majestic cypress trees, this private estate feels like stepping into a dream. The historic villa, adorned with antique details and timeless charm, opens onto secret gardens, crumbling stone staircases, and views that stretch across the countryside. Every corner tells a story, creating an atmosphere that’s both regal and intimate. Perfect for couples seeking a deeply romantic and exclusive setting, Borgo Stomennano captures the soul of Tuscany in the most enchanting and unforgettable way.

Slow Mornings & Sweet Anticipation

They got ready right there at the borgo. No rush, no stress — just that quiet excitement in the air, the kind that makes everything feel more alive.

The rooms were filled with laughter, perfume, music playing in the background, friends zipping up dresses and helping with cufflinks. I moved around quietly, capturing those little moments that often go unnoticed but mean so much later.

A Ceremony Held by a Friend

Their ceremony was symbolic, and the person who officiated it was a close friend — which I thought was such a beautiful choice. It made everything feel so intimate, like the words spoken came from someone who truly knew their story.

They stood under a soft arch of flowers, surrounded by the people they love the most. The air was warm, the garden still, and you could feel how present everyone was. No distractions. Just love.

Dinner That Followed the Shape of the Garden

This part took my breath away. Instead of a straight, traditional table, they chose a single long table that curved and flowed with the shape of the garden. It felt like it belonged there — like it had grown out of the grass and flowers overnight.

The styling was rich, but never overdone. Lush florals, candles flickering in the breeze, golden touches here and there. Everything felt warm and thoughtful. You could tell that every detail was chosen with care.

A Celebration That Felt Like Them

What I loved most about this wedding was how much it felt like them. It wasn’t just about pretty things — even though everything was beautiful.
It was about connection, about slowing down, about being fully present. And that’s what made it so special to photograph.

Their wedding was a beautiful merging of English and French cultures—elegance met warmth, tradition met joie de vivre. From refined British touches to romantic French details, every element reflected their roots. Guests toasted in both languages, shared laughter over fine wine and tea, and danced to melodies that bridged two worlds. It wasn’t just a union of two people, but of two heritages coming together in perfect harmony—graceful, joyful, and effortlessly chic.

Weddings like this are why I do what I do. Honest, emotional, full of life.
